Friends of the Arts Commission is the non-profit arm of Sacramento’s local arts agency, committed to supporting the arts through arts education and outreach programs, fund development, fiscal sponsorship for emerging arts organizations, and arts advocacy. We receive grants, workplace giving, bequests, gifts, and other donations. We hope you will support our efforts to advance and enliven the creative sector in Sacramento.

Muriel P. Johnson Fund for the Arts
Thirty-five years ago Muriel Johnson was instrumental in starting the Sacramento Metropolitan Arts Commission.  The Muriel P. Johnson Fund for the Arts was established in 2011 to honor her for her contributions, vision and commitment to the arts. Muriel taught us that the arts can inspire us, engage us in learning and enlighten us.  Help us teach our community, young and old, the same thing.  Please join Friends of the Arts Commission in honoring Muriel by making a contribution today.

THANK YOU SACRAMENTO!

Through the generosity of our community, Friends of the Arts Commission has benefited from two successful fundraising events in 2013, the Arts Education Fundraiser at Ella Dining Room & Bar, and the Arts Day of Giving. Response for both of these events drove home just how much our elected officials, business leaders, and community members support the arts in the region as well as the work of the Arts Commission.
